Paint Tool Sai For Mac With Pen Pressure
On a Mac, Pen Pressure is not supported on Paint Tool Sai unless you run it through Windows. (More on that later, if that applies to you) What worked for me on Windows 7 (run through Parallels on my Mac) was to go to the Control Panel -> Hardware -> Bamboo Preferences ->Remove Preferences. Update: Im just making this clear. Paint tool sai is a windows only program, but has been moved onto the mac by some random people on the internet:3. BUT pen pressure doesnt work. DeviationI actually managed to get Sai working in OSX 10.6.1 perfectly with Crossover Games (yes. Lol.), HOWEVER tablet pressure sensitivity isn't being recognized. I realize this is a common problem for people using Crossover -- that for some, pressure sensitivity works, and for some it doesn't. It is the best alternative to paint tool sai for mac with pen pressure support. It is the smart choice for both professional illustrators and occasional doodlers. I've tried these programs:
- Photoshop
- Corel Painter
- ArtRage
- SAI through Wine / MikuInstaller
- Pixelmator
- Seashore
- GIMP + GIMP Painter
- MyPaint
- Autodesk Sketchbook + Copic Edition
and a lot more that I can't remember. All of those, though, just didn't work like SAI.
I used Clip Paint Lab and Clip Studio Paint until they expired, and I can't get the money to pay for Clip Studio Paint... Those programs were the closest I've ever found, though.
My dad won't let me install Windows through VMWare or Parallels. Crossover has no pen pressure, and I just can't find anything else.
I've tried Bianca-Jo, but her blog was taken down... She recently posted about it (in April....) but no updates since then.
I'm trying to be really specific, I want something for Mac that works as well as SAI.
Please, is there any program out there that would work for me? SAI is for mainly manga/anime artists, and since that's my main style, it would be great if the program were along those lines.
Thanks!
